2016 Diwali Sweet Recipe of Rava Kheer:

This is an easy-to-prepare Indian dessert which can be prepared in just 35 minutes.

Ingredients Required for Rava Kheer:

Serves 4

  • Full cream milk – 1 kg
  • Rava (semolina) – ¼ cup
  • Sugar – ½ cup
  • Dry fruits
  • Saffron
  • Cardamom – 2 to 3

Method of Preparation Rava Kheer:

  • Roast your semolina in a pan
  • Add your milk and wait until boiling
  • Lower the flame to simmer
  • Stir continuously
  • Add sugar and stir
  • Add dry fruits, saffron, and cardamom pieces
  • Cook five minutes
  • Your Rava Kheer is now ready!

Kaju Katli Recipe:

Get the goodness of cashew nuts right from your kitchens by preparing the utterly delicious Kaju katli by yourself. I swear it would just take 35 minutes to make this Diwali sweet!

Ingredients Required:

  • Broken cashew nuts – 100 g
  • Sugar – 6 tablespoon
  • Green cardamom powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Silver varq – 2 sheets
  • Saffron

Method of Preparation Kaju Katli:

  • Ground the cashew nuts to get a fine powder
  • Heat water in a pan
  • Add sugar and stir until you get a thick syrup
  • Add cardamom powder and cashew nut powder and mix
  • Cook for three minutes
  • Pour the mixture onto a plate and let it cool
  • Decorate with silver varq
  • Cut into small pieces
  • Delicious Kaju Katli is now ready!

Mysore Pak Recipe:

This famous sweet of Karnataka has now come to decorate your kitchens for this Diwali. You could make yummy Mysore Pak in just 30 minutes of time. Check below for the recipe.

Ingredients Required:

  • Chickpea flour – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Ghee – 2 cups

Method of Preparation Mysore Pak:

  • Roast the flour in ghee and keep it aside
  • Add sugar in a pan of boiling water and dissolve it
  • Boil and cook the mixture until you get single-thread consistency
  • Add the flour slowly by continuously stirring.
  • Mix well so that no lump is formed
  • Add ghee
  • Cook until the mixture turns light brown in color
  • Pour the mixture onto a plate and spread
  • Allow it to cool
  • Cut into pieces
  • Yummy Mysore Pak is now ready!

Coconut Ladoo Recipe:

This delicious sweet recipe would take only 25 minutes preparation time and you could easily make this with just three ingredients. See how here:

Ingredients Required:

  • White sesame seeds – 2 cups
  • Chopped dates – 1 ½ cup
  • Grated coconut – 1 cup

Method of Preparation Recipe:

  • Finely chop the dates after removing the seeds
  • Roast the sesame seeds in a pan until it turns golden
  • Keep it to cool
  • Put grated coconut into the pan and stir
  • Ground the sesame seeds slightly in a mixer
  • Add grounded sesame seeds, chopped dates, and roasted coconut in a bowl
  • Take small quantity of the mixture and roll into a ladoo
  • Roll the ladoo over coconut powder
  • Your coconut ladoo is now ready!
